Federation of Canadian Municipalities - FCM Programs
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities offers a number of programs for municipalities. A representative from FCM will be presenting the PACE Program and many others that are applicable to PEI municipalities from green projects to asset management and everything in between.
Jim Wren, Advisor, FCM Programs Outreach With over 10 years of experience at FCM, Jim has held various management positions and currently serves as an advisor with the Programs Outreach unit. He uses his expertise to help Canadian municipalities assess and implement innovative sustainable development initiatives. Jim holds a Bachelor of Finance and Economy from Carleton University and a diploma in mechanical engineering technology. He has also worked for the Office of the Taxpayers™ Ombudsman in Ottawa, and held a position selling engineering products in British Columbia.
New Procurement Program for FPEIM Members
The new procurement program for FPEIM Members will be officially launched and a representative will give an overview of how this program can help to save PEI Municipalities time and money in the procurement process - office & cleaning supplies, large equipment, fire trucks, recreational supplies and more.
Cyber Security for Humans - Frank Fazio

Frank has been exposing hacking techniques for a number of years through his company CySAT Security and has had the privilege of training the municipal staffs of Clarington, Oakville, Tecumseh, Essex, Lakeshore, etc. He presented to the CAOs across Windsor & Essex County and was the keynote at the Windsor Police / OMRON conference. He has a degree in computer science, is certified in incident response & advances forensics and was published in Municipal World magazine. Over the last 30 years, Frank has held positions in computer programming, database administration, cyber security and competes regularly in hacker competitions in the US and Canada. Frank provides cybersecurity training and phish testing to corporate employees, municipal staff and CAOs across Canada.
Planning - What you need to know and more? - Hope Parnham
Hope Parnham, is a former planner for the City of Charlottetown and works with various municipalities under her consulting business DV8 Consulting. She is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and Atlantic Institute of Planners. She is President-elect of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects
She has been working in the field of climate change adaptation to promote coastal risk awareness and sustainable adaptation solutions for coastal development for more than a decade. Hope is a member of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects' Climate Change Adaptation Committee and is co-chair of the International Federation of Landscape Architects' Climate Change Working Group.
